OK, everybody pay attention...I emailed Kuryakyn regarding which grips to use on my America. They directed me to part #6240, the Universal Fit ISO Grip for 1" bars. THESE DO NOT FIT YOUR BIKE!! I now have a pair of these for sale if anyone wants them. They squeeze the factory throttle body so hard that it won't snap back after you let it go. Sort of acts as a VERY unwanted cruise control. Before anyone asks, yes, I did dremel off the "fins" from the stock sleeve to get a better fit. Soooo...I bought the replacement OEM grip/w throttle sleeve and slapped it on there. Then...low and behold, I discovered Ma's Cycles. They have correctly identified the grips needed as part #6236. These come with a replacement throttle body, and went on quick and easy. Now my grips match my pegs! You can order these from Ma's or direct from Kuryakyn. Hopefully I can save somebody $60 just because a dealer knows more about the product than the manufacturer does!
