Sorry this is long but I need to vent.I replaced my battery after about a year & a half.A little after that it died again.took it to the dealer and they could not find any thing wrong.A little while later died again, this time they said the regulator/rectifier was bad so after a week and a half of waiting for the part they replaced it under warrenty.About a month and a half after that died again. This time they said the battery from Advanced auto parts was bad and needed to be replaced. They charged me full retail to diag.the condition and replace the battery.Well this Sat night died again & needed to be towed.Took the battery to a local parts store as was shown to be bad.The best part of this the bike just went ot of warrenty.I just cant believe that there isnt something wrong with the charging system.Going to pay a visit to the dealer at lunch time

You've been fighting those battery gremlins for quite a while now... Hope you get it sorted. Good luck.

They absolutely must test the alternator stator and tell you what the result is since no regulator can overcome a bad input.

A positive attitude may not solve all your problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. Herm Albright (1876 - 1944)

I never wanted to lead, and I never wanted to follow. I just wanted to ride.

I made it to the dealer at lunch spoke to the service dept then to the owner (managed to keep my cool). They assured me that every thing would be taken care of.Have an appointment to drop it off in the morning.Time will tell I guess.
