Looking at this It make me think that the front rider even through he had a good look over his shoulder should have not crossed the line of the back biker. When ever I know there is some thing funny coming up behind me I check his line and keep well out of it. He should have rather pulled up to his right let the back come on by then turn.
BUT then how easy it is to be wise after the fact.
