Thanks Soren. I was actually thinking of the upswept trumpet style pipe which is about as short as the turnout pipe in the picture, but since its upswept, I'd have to extend the header pipe to mount it so it clears the sprocket cover on the right side and the shift linkage on the left side. Now that winter seems to have set in here in New England, there's nothing left to do except think of interesting new projects for the bike. This site provides lots of great ideas. Pat

Islandbum, That's EXACTLY what I was thinking about. Is that your bike and can you tell me how you put that exhaust sytem together? Very sweet looking setup. Even though I found some appropriate exhaust tubing on the Jeggs web site, I don't see anybody selling couplers which would allow me to splice an 1 7/8 extender onto the 1 3/4 header pipe and then mount the trumpet style muffler onto that. I don't really know how to weld and I'm certainly not going to learn on this project. I was thinking about that exact mounting setup too. Removing the stock footpeg hanger and using the upper bolt to hang the pipe from. Very nice setup on that bike.

Thanks, that's the pipe. I'm wondering if I could get a 1 5/8 section of pipe and insert it into the 1 3/4 stock header pipe and then use the spacers to mount the emgo pipe on the other end. Don't mean to hijack this thread, but anyone do anything like this?

sorry folks
hey ya buddy all you need is a length of stainless exhaust1"3/4
your local exhaust shop will be able to flare the end so it'll fit over the headers
dont remember the exact length some thing around 10-12" i think per side
i slight bend in the middlw (again with the help of the exhaust shop) to kick the muffler end away from the frame
once you slide the extension on to the headers you'll see what i mean
as for clamps go to your local irrigation supply and pick up 4 supa clamps
i got 4 for the price of 1 from the muffler shop
trust this makes sence
Benny

Benny, Thanks for the info. Very helpful. Your bike looks great BTW. I'm going to visit a few muffler places and see what they can do for me. Many thanks, Pat
