Here's a couple recent pix of my 02 America after a thorough clean-up. If they are, let me ask you question about 'em. Have you noticed much of an improvement in the rebound dampening over the stock units? I ask this because I also like the looks of those blacked out covered shocks, and have been thinking of getting a pair for my BA, but only if they greatly reduce the "pogo-ing effect" that the stock units do nothing about quelling.

Oh yeah... I forgot. Yep, those are 300mm (-20mm) Hagon's. There is no bottoming or heaving at all, and I'm a big boy. The forks were almost out of oil and I just topped them off with 10wt oil and added 1/2" preload spacers. I also have the forks dropped about 1/2". The air in the tires were low too, so I aired them up to 36f/33r. I'll give it a good work-out to tomorrow to find out how badly I buggered things up.

I like it!  I like the looks of your shocks too. I asked about Hagons but some gave me a bad review of them. I was looking at the Progressive 412's with full covers. I inquired with their tech support and was told that if you have a set of full cover 412's in Chrome or Black; you could send them in for a re-work and they could do an alternating color on the cans to give the Black top and Chrome bottom.

I used even shorter Hagon's on my Speedmaster "eBobber." If you walk into my garage right now, you'll find 3 of my 4 Bonneville's and my Ducati all equipped with Hagon shocks. I ride what I sell. /Mike

Nice bikes dude. Why did you leave the front fender bracket on the America and the speedy? Also I think if you remove the chain guard it would add to the look. Just my opinion, looks nice anyway.

I would think it would serve as a fork brace to some degree, probably not as well as a bonnyfide (  ) aftermarket brace, but free.

I am 6 foot and weigh 180. Would love a pair of the classic Hagons if they will work well for me.

The fender bracket is absolutely critical to have in-place if you want the bike to handle well. It triangulates the forks so as to reduce wheel wobble. I was on the highway today over a ton and at 50 & 60MPH I took my hands off the bars and there was no wobble at all. The guy on the Roadking next to me thought I was nuts riding with no hands. He said his bike would go into a tank slapper if he tried it.
Before I ditch the chain guard (BTW, took off the chrome one and replaced it with black from a T100), I've got to get rid of that hideous George Forman Grill sprocket cover. Yuk! A chrome T100 cover would be ideal.

Yes sir, you know your vintage Bonneville's. The 66 TT Special is my all-time favorite Triumph.

I can say that Hagon is widely received as being a very good value, especially if you want a vintage-looking/modern-performing set of shocks. I also sell other brands, but as I illustrated, I chose Hagon's for most of my personal bikes.

Sure do. No one bought just the mounting kit alone, so I'm just going to offer it with the seat. BTW... the red metalflake seat has (what I'm not-so surprised to find out) a very limited market appeal. Black seats are what is selling the most. Solo Seat Kit /Mike

RaceDweeb I had a set of the Hagon black spring shocks on my Speedmaster.They were the bottom of the line shock.I really liked them personally.I put over 20,000 miles on them and they were shot.I bought a set of the Progressive this time and they are ok,ride real nice.When the Progressive are shot I will probably get the Hagon Nitros,more money I know but I think they will be worth it.

The Mufflers look like Norton Peashooters to me, I've still got a pair of Original "Dunstall Decibel Silencers" with baffles that have never been put on, I bought them in 1974 and their still in the original wraps, oh and their not for sale, gonna go on my next Commando project with Drouin supercharger

When I was lowering Wendy's bike 2" I spoke with Mike at length on the phone as to what I wanted for rear shocks, weight the bike would carry,and road conditions in general. He hit the nail on the head with the cheap line of Hagons he had set up for me. Wendy has been very happy with them for the last couple years.

These are some great looking bikes! I have a few questions about the accessories added to them:
1. Does Bellacorse sell the Turn out pipes that you have on the America and Speedmaster?
2. If not, where did you get them or are they home made?
3. Do you have any pictures of this solo seat installed with the passenger pillion offered by Bellacorse?

Howdy gang. Sorry I haven't been around lately. That time of year. As for the turnout mufflers, they are generic H-D mufflers that are actually mounted turn-down on a Hawg, but rotated 90° on a TBA, they turn-out. I fabricated hanger brackets that connected the slotted track on the mufflers to the frame where a centerstand would mount.
Because I never got around to making more brackets, I never pursued the project. Also, these turn out mufflers are the loudest exhaust I've ever heard on a motorcycle. I mean insanely loud. You've been warned.

One of our members I ran into in Johnstown during bike week put turn out tractor trailer exhaust extensions on stock exhaust that ended up looking similar but a little longer,really cool look. If I could find the thread I would post a pic.

Emgo makes a set of 19" shorty turnout mufflers that fit on my '07 America with no mods needed. They're loud, but not outrageously so. I love 'em. They sell a pair here for $38.95: http://www.mawonline.com/newsite/emgo-exhausts.htm

Thompson, Do you have any pics of those emgo pipes on your BA? I was looking at those myself. The upswept style would look great, if I could extend my header pipe about 10 - 12 inches. Anybody know who sells 1 3/4 piping and couplers that would allow such a set up?
