get yourself a Scottoiler and dispense completely with the chain wax.
Let the Scottoiler do the work on a constant basis. I have run a scottoiler on my existing chain and sprockets and with nearly 26K on that chain its still going strong.
Chain wax is OK if you like to jack up your bike and lube it yourself every 350 to 400 miles. The chain wax simply cannot compare to the Scottoiler for performance and longevity of your chain and sprockets.
