last week I took off for a short ride to fuel up.After topping off I went to reset my trip and the reset knob was missing.I have yet to find a place to buy just the knob.Any ideas? I'd settle for a ransom note!

I got mine from Home Depot for $2.47.
Look through the Electrical dept. and the Plumbing dept.
You'll find some nice little brass trinket (knob) for $2-3 bucks that will be unique and "one off" for YOUR bike!

Really? Got pictures? I've heard of people using knobs from the hardware store for their choke, but not for a speedometer/tripometer reset knob. But then again, I've never heard of one of those being lost either. I don't get out much.

This is the little brass cap that holds a lamp shade on a desk lamp. My bad, it was TWO for $2.47.

Heres some other Home Depot items.
The fuel lever is a Brass thingy that fits in a single lever kitchen faucet, about $6.00.

The Chock pull in the same pic is a cabinett knob, $6.00.
The battery cover is a $2.20 (not $85.00), flat stock brass from the local hobby store. They have Chrome, S.S., Copper, and Brass.

And last, is a Brass & rubber retrofit freeze plug from Pep Boys for $1.50, makes that little tube a "stash tube"
