It's really quite simply actually. Wash it in dishwashing liquid and hot water. Dishwashing liquid is made for grease/oil and will easily get rid of all oil even between the foam and screen. It disolves oil with minimal rubbing.Did mine that way and the foam was completely like new w/o a trace of oil.
