I can relate. Years ago, I bought an old broken down chopper with a 73 750 tiger motor in it. It had no working brakes, barely ran. I think I paid $300 for it. I totally worked it over and wound up riding it daily for nearly ten years. One of the best bikes I ever owned. After I built my customized "57" and rebuilt a 68 bonneville, I never rode it hardly and traded it for a 61 TR3 project car. A couple of years later, I saw an old rat, broken down piece of junk in the back of my dealers repair shop and commented on it. The mechanic said, "he77, don't you recognize that bike, its your old bike." Crap, when I sold it, it had a beautiful customized paint scheme and was clean as a whistle. That really hurt some. Sometimes, I wish I could find it back and rebuild it. I feel sorry for the old girl.
