What's a decent quality, good value windshield for an '04 America? Also if you can direct me to where I can get a good deal on one as well. Thanks.

I use a Big Shot from memphis shades. I got it from Fast Eddy. He's in the vendor section. Great Price, Fast Service and just a good all-round Chap.
I do not ask for a fair life, only a Just one.

I have a Memphis Shades sport shield which does great for my purposes. Fast Eddie would be able to hook you up on that one as well, probably.

I spent $245 for the Memphis Shades "Fats" from CruiserCustomizing and love the windshield (previously had the Triumph Roadster). Now the new MS shields have a quick release. Bought mine before Fast Eddy had them, but I'd get it from him if given the choice.

I just ordered a Switchblade by National Cycle. It should be here by the weekend. I'll post more after I try it out.

I have the Switch Blade, National Cycle. A pain to get but great quality and four different screens fit the same mounts.

Is this true, I can get an alley cat with a quick detach mounting gear?!?!? Can anyone confirm, this is what I have been waiting for

Yes, but no mounts to fit the '07-'08 bikes. Can't recall what year you have. If from '02 to 06, give Fast Eddy a call and he'll square you away. Quote:

Update on my quest. I ordered the Natl. Cycle two up Switchblade and mount from a company called Value Accessories (trying to save a buck). My problem came when I forgot to follow member Chip's advice on the bands. Delivery time was great and the price was cheaper, but because they do not make an exact fit for our bikes, I got the wrong mounting bands. Value Accessories does not sell the individual parts, so I had to order the correct bands from Natl. Cycle. I have to wait until next week to update more.

Good deal. You'll be able to get the new, quick release (and no tools needed) for your windshield. That new feature look incredibly handy. Quote:
