Check me off the list. Made it back home in one piece by 7:00pm. Misted on and off until south of Watertown. It was getting a little cool so I stopped for lunch and put my thermal liners in my riding pants and jacket. The skies cleared north of Watertown and I got a nice parade of custom hot rods heading in the opposite direction. All and all a nice ride back. As always a great time, big thanks to the hosts and sponsors. I'm bushed, still need to unpack the bike, then it's time to hit the rack. Can't wait to do it again.

OK, Just made it home about 4:30 after alot of stops here and there checking out the scenery. A bit chilly this morning and real foggy on I86. The good new was that once I got on I86 I never passed a vehicle and no vehicles ever passed me it was dead going west on 86 for 60 miles that I was on it. GREAT time this weekend couldn't ask for much better weather. Thanks again to Ed and the wife and anyone else involved in making this years event a success. Now we just have to count down the days till next years event!

Home safe and sound around 6:30. A nice uneventful ride home, with a stop for a nap. Sunday naps...

Thanks to the Smith families and helpers, & generous vendors for making this a great rally. A good time was had by all.

Steve and I just got into Some place in Michigan...Gaylord I think. Cold and tired over 560 fell short of the 600 planned for today, 12.5 hours. Last two hours it was 50 degrees. Thanks Jim, the King of Fleece Pants were the ticket for warm! Left my favorite Triumph sweatshirt in the hotel in Buffalo. Bummed and cold.

I plan on writing a little expose, but let me say, as per par, all ya'll were a hoot and a true pleasure to meet and talk with, way too cool.

We anticipate another 9 hour day before we get home. A lot of riding for just one day with you all. Was it worth it? Oh heck yea!

The judges give it?

Thanks to all for making this another great event.

This rally was great; It was good to see everybody again and meet a few new people. The campsite was beautiful, weather was perfect, and great people to spend the weekend with. Thank you to Ed & Vicki, Jim & Triumph of Buffalo, and everybody else who put together a great weekend.

My ride home was cut short about 120 miles from Greensboro when I broke down around Natural Bridge, VA. Seems to be an electrical problem, but I'll post more on it later. I called a friend with a truck, and hauled the bike home from there. Got in bed about 4:00 this morning, and am off for work now. Not the ending I hoped for, but still was a great trip north.

Thanks everybody for a wonderful weekend in NY.

Will

Made it home with no problems other then dense fog on Rt 17 in the morning. It turned out real nice in the afternoon. It was nice to see everyone again. Sorry I missed Sat night but I got back to the hotel after the ride and took a nap. Woke up at 9:30 PM! Ron, here's the website for the Bennington Bash. http://www.armchaircommando.org/bennington/BenningtonTriumphBash/Home.html
It will be next May.
See you all again soon.
Matt

now that I had a day to recover... I will tell more about this rally

i will have to say this one worked out very well.. and I belive for everone there... we did not do a big ride on friday.. this year we left that day open for any one coming this year to do there own thing.. and some people did just that..going out in small groups and doing there own thing.. this was great and I for one really liked that.. now for the ride on sat some people rode with us and some did there own thing again with all groups meeting at the dealer .. this also worked out very well as i have found out getting info from other members going to rallys over the years that there ride to the rally was all they wanted to do and did not need to do long rides when at the rally...

i found most rider's would like to do a short ride like around 100miles come back and hang out and talk have a few beers and meet all the people that that have come to the rally and get to know them and we did that this by keeping the camping and hotels so close the people at the hotel only had a about a 3 min ride back once again working out very well...
now on to the camping man this place is great and the price man what a deal for all of us that camped it did not even come 100 bucks

and I really like this as a boy growing up most of my best memories are set by a group of people setting around a camp fire talking and as I got older doing this same but only adding a few beers and we sure did alot of that this rally

and now the best part of every rally..i have been to ...
meeting everyone from this site and there friends as i have found out.. that same people that you think are a ahole on here.. but then you get to meet them face to face shake there hand and talk to them... you go hey this person is really not that bad .. yes I learned this one my self and in the same i hope i made other people think the same about me

NOREAST 2008 MAN WHAT A GREAT TIME

THANK YOU ALL

Ed & Vicki Smith

Well put Ed. My thoughts exactly.
I had a great time at the rally and I think thats because I had time to sit and socialize with most all the folks.
Great Rally

Yes, had a great time, already looking forward to next year. When I got home my power unit for my modem had died and couldn't get up on the net. But had a safe trip home. Phil
