I've actually only put a cup of coffee in there once...brought it from home and used some dixiecup thingy with a lid that the gf bought a pack of. Kept getting "rain"drops on my goggles and couldn't figure out how it was only raining on my face but not on the windshield... only occurred to me about halfway to work what it was doing. When I got to work I had brownish stains all over my face and my left knee.
So now I only use it for water bottles less than 3/4 full or closed beverage containers.
