Why not just carry a can of inflator/sealer? Then you don't have to worry about ill effects unless you have a flat. It won't matter at that point.

Slime, otherwise known as snake snot, will effect tire ballance, especialy in winter!

I used it, and it didn't affect anything except the air that was leaking out from a small hole a nail had left. Some tire sealers have a warning not to use them on alloy wheels, but Slime didn't. I chose to use it, because it's illegal (according to my dealer's service manager) to patch a motorcycle tire in Arkansas, and I wasn't about to lay out bucks for a new tire simply because of a nail hole.

I've noticed no balance problems at all.

if you run the tire right away to distribute the sealant evenly (most of them tell you to do so on the label) it won't effect balance. If you squirt it in there and just turn the tire a couple times and let it sit then it will because the still liquid product will settle to the low spot.

Spot on, Dog. Done 100's of miles with Tyre-Weld in. No balance probs at all, however I think it eats away at the tyre from the inside eventually, so best to change fairly quickly. Better than walking home, though.
