I used it, and it didn't affect anything except the air that was leaking out from a small hole a nail had left. Some tire sealers have a warning not to use them on alloy wheels, but Slime didn't. I chose to use it, because it's illegal (according to my dealer's service manager) to patch a motorcycle tire in Arkansas, and I wasn't about to lay out bucks for a new tire simply because of a nail hole.
I've noticed no balance problems at all.
