I'm sure this has been covered before but here goes.
Has anyone shortened the rear tail light arms on an America?
Or, does anyone sell shorter arms?

I have been wondering that myself. I think they look nicer with shorter rear turn signal posts. I have seen pics of people who shortend them but am not sure if they were mods or purchased.

I changed lights/stems out for short stem Lucas.

Made the stems for these.


and the spacers for these can be had at almost any hardware store.

I bought the spacer assortment. You can go with 3/4" but I went 1" so I could still have room to slip a bungie cord end between the turn signal and license plate.

Hmmmmm Very nice but a bit pricey!

I bought 1 inch chrome spacers from Ace hdwr. used the nuts and stems that hold the light sockets on table lamps and brought mine in. Phil
