Don't take this wrong, I'm just asking...are you punk? I understand from my kids that wearing a hat at a angle means you're a punk. They say that a attitude comes with wearing your hat at an angle like that.

Ive listened to and played punk when I was younger and still listen to some bands that have evolved from punk. But I dont have a mohawk and chains everywhere. I think that crooked hat thing comes from some kids wearing their hats really curled and you sorta get tunnel vision when its down next to your eyes and so you just wear it up a bit and off to the side so the brims not in the way. I stencil my own hats with my current band logo in the left corner of the hat, so when I wear it, it faces forward a bit more. It tends to be a look for scruffy lower to middle class kids that dont exactly care if theyre wearing name brand clothes and their hats are straight a proper, like some preppy college kid.

As for the attitude part that youre talking about I think its similar to how people think because you ride a cruiser type motorcycle and wear a leather jacket, you must be a tough guy biker affiliated with a gang.
