LOL! Being predominantly Irish, I can relate to that statement.
Any proper business establishment, particularly smaller ones (mom and pop) are perfectly legitimatized in having whatever rules they want to have. Think of it like when you were growing up in your parent's house, and they would say, "If you don't like it, leave. It's my house, my rules"
