I had to remove all mine and same for Wendys bike. All I left in was the reducer cone and happy now. Your 08 will have a cat in it so be careful if you decide to do all of them since you don't want to damage that unless you are pulling that out too. Even so it is soft so don't just beat on it or it could wedge itself in there.
