I guess you are not really into custom bikes or customizing your bike. It really comes through in your theory. The whole idea of customizing is taking a part that wasn't meant to be on your bike or car and making it work. Guys (and gals) having being doing that since the invention of the motor vehicle. Guys put nailheads in t-buckets, Pontiac side trim on the chevy's. Use cadillac tailights for taillights. Buick trim and Desoto grills on Mercs. Ford 9 inch rears in there Tubbed out Camaro. Thats what customizing is all about. Throwing a Triumph motor into a custom frame makes it a custom framed Triumph not a HD. Just because you bolt on a few parts made for Harley's doesn't make your bike a custom and it sure isn't a Harley. I don't know where you got your skewed sense of reality but it sure wasn't from customizing bikes.
