I refuse to risk my valued machinery with cheap junk from China. Every floor jack, scissors jack and jackstand I own is made in USA. They'll still be in service long after all this other rubbish is rustin' away in the landfill.

My Harbor Freight lift is identical to every one of similar construction I have seen including the supposedly "made is USA" Craftsman. I think they all come off the same assembly line just like Evenrude and Johnson outboards back in the day. There used to be a big debate about what motor was better when they both came from the same factory with a different shroud and paint. Same here with these jacks and mine has served me very well so far.



Not to belabor the point, but I'm reasonably certain Sears does not claim the Craftsman jack to be made in USA. It's Chinese, just like much of the rest of the current catalog. Anyway, you won't hear me debating the merits of one Chinese brand over another. That would be oxymoronic.
