Man, I am a Wildlife Magnet!!!
I went for a nice ride today down SR 13. Things were great until I saw 2 Peacocks crossing the road. I was doing 50 so I slowed a bit and noticed 3 or 4 more on the side of the road. I slowed some more, honked my horn, revved my engine...
The 2 that had crossed came back in to the road and the other 4 joined them right in front of me. They all started dancing around frantically like they were locked in a shooting gallery. Just as I got right on them I expected them to fly off. They did but they flew right at me. I ducked down below my windshield. I felt the feet of one of the Peacocks drag along the top of my helmet. Man, I was Pi$$ed.
I had to pull over and smoke and regain my composure.
I got back on the bike and continued on... Just around the corner there was a Squirrel the size of a House Cat standing in the middle of the road. Here we go again... I slowed and decided it would be him and not me. As I got right on him he shot under my front wheel, stood up and leaped in the air at handlebar height and was gone...
Dammit! Had to pull over and smoke again!!!
I am cursed, but at least they are smaller than a deer!!!

That's funny. you're not just a magnet you're a strange attractor. You're not dressed as a talent scout are you?
It could be worse though. Going through a mountain pass in Montana a small black bear scrambled across the road in fron to me. Not being a magnet i was in no real danger but think of the show he would have put on for you!

granted i live in the woods, but, i've been seeing deer in the road every morning, and most evenings lately. yall be careful out there, if they are moving like that this early here, probably where you are, too
some people are like slinkies, they serve no purpose, but, they bring a smile to your face when you push them down the stairs.

Anna and I were riding home one night after a great night out. It was dark out and we live in a very rural area with no street lights. Ahead, dead center in my lane, I see something moving. Dark in color and slowwww moving. So I slow down----it didn't move, we get closer and it becomes illuminated in the headlight----oh c r a p, the tail went up just as I saw the white stripe down it's back----luckily there was no oncoming traffic because I made the quickest lane change to the left that I have ever seen! We got by him, but it was close------ Paw

I've had to weave though a flock (or is it gaggle) of geese crossing the street to get to lake a couple times. Stupid birds geese, wont use the crosswalk and dont even HONK  But seiously folks..Ive had close encounters of the scary kind with, Deer, dogs, cats,racoons,opossums,skunks,turkeys foxes,coyotes (at least I think it was a coyote)and yes geese.
