The thing is, they are looking at the very teensy picture and are only concerned with how they are being inconvenienced today. The long term hope is that we can get a couple of countries moved into at least the 19th century and they will become places where Shiits, Sunnis, Kurds and whoever else can safely work together without killing each other on sight. If that can happen, it is likely to rub off on their neighbors. Once the various Islamic sects can get along with each other, they are more likely to be able to get along with other people as well and that will be the end of their terrorism.
Why anyone would want to put their personal convenience ahead of that is beyond me. But then, maybe because of growing up during a major war and having to do without a lot because of rationing I missed out on the lessons on petty selfishness.

AND...once again, at the risk of this thread being locked....which SOMEHOW wasn't locked after YOUR tirade about those..what was that again...oh yeah..."whining chicken s..t traitors"...and so seeing as how there appears to be little continuity practiced about the A.U.P.s around here, please allow me to just say the following here....

I see what you're saying about the concept of "personal inconvenience" during a time of war here Ed, AND I agree with you, BUT...DON'T FORGET...it has blatantly been the policy of this country's government and especially THIS Administration executing the war SINCE 9-11 to "GO SHOPPING" in order to win this war!"

And, NOW that I've said THAT here...5'll get ya 10 friggin' dollars(in order to go shopping, I presume) that this thread in most likelihood WILL be locked...RIGHT, Mr.Moderators???!!!...and besides, it IS September TWELFTH now anyway, huh?!)

Yep! Just like a good Single Malt Scotch, you might call me "an acquired taste" TOO.(among the many OTHER things you may care to call me, of course)
