Washing my Firebird (sold to buy the America) in the drive way. Listening to 98 Rock out of Baltimore, "Kirk, Mark & Lopez (dead)" on teh garage radio. Watched the 2nd tower get hit on TV. We're 30 minutes from Ft. Detrick MD and as a District Manager, had one restaurant outside the main gate. We were advised not to travel, so I kept in touch by phone (no cell those days). My folks working were terrified when it was thought that Ft. Detrick could be a target, so it was a very strange and sickening feeling when the plane went down in PA.
