The image of the second plane crashing into the tower is forever burned into the back of my memory. I just got out of the shower and caught the news about the first plane and sat there stunned and watched the second plane hit. I felt so much remorse for the people who were in the plane and in the buildings I actually started to tear up. Then I got really ****** because I knew terrorists had attacked the United States of America, and being a Veteran I wanted swift and immediate vengance!!!

I knew how hard the mission our military was asked to do after it had been budget cut down to the bone by the Clinton administration, and I am glad we are taking the fight to their backyard. I had expected more attacks and I am thankful it has not yet happened.
I am not really interested in anyone's politics, but when I left Iraq in 1991 I knew in my heart that we would be dealing with the islamic world again in the very near future. I did not think it would 10 years. especially after living in Germany for three years where I personally experienced hatred because I was an Amercan.....an American Soldier!
