As I sat at my desk a young man 20ish came to me as ask if I heard the news. We immediately went online to see the second plane hit the towers. He asks “what does all this mean" my response was this is an act of war and we are under attack. He was very scared as was our nation.
A lady my wife worked with lost a son in the towers. A stock broker who was on the phone with his dad after the first plane hit. Silence after the second plane hit...................... A tree was planted in his honor.
Sad day indeed.
I did not think the world was coming to an end. I did however realize life as we had known it was forever changed.
Does Mayberry still exist? Only in our memories.
