Having admired much of the work carried out by other members on this forum, and noticing my rubber speedo loop had broken (again), I thought I'd have a go at making something up.

A rummage in the garage revealed a cheap and nasty bicycle tyre lever, 2 tap (fawcet?) washers and a miscellaneous nut and bolt which went together to make this:



I don't suppose anyone who makes bits for a living will be loseing any sleep over my efforts, and I'm certainly not claiming to be in the same league as those of you who make beautiful polished and machined parts, but I think it'll work, and it didn't cost anything



If it's still in place when I get to Talybont on Saturday I'll know if it's up to the job
