Having admired much of the work carried out by other members on this forum, and noticing my rubber speedo loop had broken (again), I thought I'd have a go at making something up.
A rummage in the garage revealed a cheap and nasty bicycle tyre lever, 2 tap (fawcet?) washers and a miscellaneous nut and bolt which went together to make this:
I don't suppose anyone who makes bits for a living will be loseing any sleep over my efforts
, and I'm certainly not claiming to be in the same league as those of you who make beautiful polished and machined parts, but I think it'll work, and it didn't cost anything
If it's still in place when I get to Talybont on Saturday I'll know if it's up to the job
