Well back in June, driving home from applebees after having 2 long islands made a right turn and swung too wide striking the vehicle in the other lane. It was raining very hard making it hard to see the yellow lines. Anyways, I approached the guy in his truck seeing if he's ok. I admitted all fault, and gave him my information. He said well the cops are on their way. I said well give him your side I've already admitted fault, I'm going home. You've got my info. I go home. 15 minutes later I get a phonecall on my cell which is the officer reporting. "Sir, you have 1 minute to get back to the scene of the crime." I said well I'm not driving my truck anywhere, and I've already done what every other fender bender does. He said you've got 1 minute and hung up. I started walking (it was only 4 blocks away.)
Long story short the guy I gave info to lied and said I gave him nothing and fled the scene. So I got a DWI (#2), fleeing the scene of an accident, and a CNI (Careless negligent imprudent driving). All for walking back to the scene cuz I fled anyways? I didn't blow because my lawyer said for your second you're going to loose your license for a year anyways, its easier to get out of it if they have no evidence. I WAS WALKING ANYWAYS.
Anywho I've got court this week on tuesday and thursday. tuesday means I lose my license for 90 days for refusing then I get a hardship for the other 9 months. Thursday I get 2 years probation, 40 hrs of community service, and 6 months of ignition interlock installed on all my vehicles.
So do you think they're going to install the ignition interlock on my TBA as well as my truck? Or would it be if I get caught on my bike which wasn't interlock installed I get nailed?
All in all though I'm planning on removing my airbox anyways, so I prolly won't be riding it this winter. Also, I'm lucky to be living with my lawyer's daughter which yes we are dating pretty seriously, so the lawyer's fees from what I can tell right now are FREE. Only stipulation is that I don't break up with her cuz he'd have me by the who-haas.
