Just a note to say Hi and introduce myself. After several months of hemming and hawing, I bought an 08 America Saturday. I sold my last bike last September and just ended up missing it more than I thought I would. I look forward to getting to know you folks and maybe even getting to meet a few of you (SE WI anyone?)

Thanks for the welcome, I had Vance and Hines Cruzer slachcuts on my Shadow, but it seems they don't have such a critter for the TBA. I've been reading over the exhaust discussion, haven't decided which way I'll go other than 'louder'. I want any SUV driving, cell phone talking/texting cagers to at least know I'm in the neighborhood, without waking up the neighborhood whenever I crank it over.

The indecision was forced to come to a decision when the dealer was uncrating his last 08 TBA. While I like the prospect of FI next year, I wouldn't have liked the price increase.
As far as hemming and hawing paying well, I have found the best way to make money is to marry way over one's head.

I had Bubs on my TBA and they sounded awesome, better than TORs. Loud but not so loud to hurt your ears. If you dig around you will find a thread where someone posted that the engineers at Bub tuned the pipes for the TBA. I like them so much that I removed them when my bike was written off by my insurance company and am saving them for my next TBA, even if one of the pipes is a little scratched.
Again welcome and enjoy your ride. Please be sure you wear all your gear, including a high quality leather jacket and pants.
Blue/White 2007 TBA, Thruxton needles, Unifilter, AI removed, Polaris Bellmouth, Bubs, Nology Coils/wires, Lightbar, Ricor Intiminators, Hagon Nitros, Tall Sissy Bar w/luggage rack, Dart flyscreen & Lowers. 130 Mains, TrueGel Battery MG12-BS.

I live in Kenosha now. Retired from the Navy in 97, had been stationed at Great Lakes as an Instructor before I did my last tour at Diego Garcia, so once I got out we just kinda stayed...
Like the area even if there are wayyyy too many of the 'Harley Only' types this close to Milwaukee..

I'm an ATGATT (all the gear, all the time) kinda guy ever since I was in a bad accident Labor day 04. Lady (term used loosely) decided to try and pass 3 cars across a double yellow. I came around a blind curve at a particulary bad time for her manuever and had to choose the gravel shoulder or her hood. Ended up with a fractured sternum, some rash and a bashed up helmet but at least I went home later that night. I am considering the Bubs pretty heavily ATM...

I remember Great Lakes. You know why they call Chicago The The Windy City? Cause Great Lakes sucks so much!!! I lived up in Waukegan whilst I was cursed to be stationed there for school way back when. Gotta be about the coldest place on earth in the wintertime.
A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice.
