Thanks Troy. I fitted it ok and my new settings for the Staintune Pipes and looking good at present.
I actually thought maybe the collar wasn't fitting into its spot all the way up cos I couldn't get the bowl on. Turned out where the floats pivot there is a wire hinge which had moved sideways, hence my problem. I just pushed it back into place and voila, bowl fitted.
Geez it had me stumped for a good while though.
