Seeing those pictures reminds me ~~ I really like the knee pads ~~ one of these days I have got to get me some.
Did anyone notice that the 2005 was listed as 865 cc not 790 cc? I didn't read the description ~~ just looked at the pictures ~~ was the bike bored out?

Read the auction and it seems the owner wanted to just "Sell it" probably realizing that his signature isnt worth bubkis.

Ironically, just days before I bought my 2008 TBA, I was watching this auction. I had the bid filled in and my finger on the 'place bid' button when that voice in my head said, "don't do it, Joe! don't do it!! Do you really want to explain to people why it says 'Billy Joel' on your fender?? How lame!!"
I tried to do a post-auction end run with the seller and get it at a lower price, and he actually had the nerve to ask for a higher price than the auction minimum. I told him that for me, Billy Joel's signature detracted from the value of the bike...

Yep! I agree with ya, Joe!!! But what say IF it had the signature of maybe a Gary Nixon, a Gene Romero, or maybe any REAL Triumph motorcycle legend proudly emblazened somewhere upon it's flanks, HUH?!  (now THAT would be kind'a cool, RIGHT?!)

It JUST so happens I have the ONE and ONLY 2002 Cardinal Red Triumph Bonneville America with BOTH Gary's AND Gene's signature as I said "proudly emblazened upon it's flanks"!!! Yep! And I'll sell it to YOU for "only" 25 GRAND!!!  (but first I'll be right back...I gotta go to CVS and buy myself a Sharpie marking pen)
