I do too, but sometimes if I'm having a hard time hooking the vent tube back up, holding it in the middle ballances it better.
I put a plastic quick disconnect in the vent line under the tank so that I don't have to balance the tank and connect the vent at the same time.
Rock the tank on the towel to gain access to the vent nipple.
