i have an 08 so it DOES idle messy. it was intended to. I actually like it. it has 100% no vibes what so ever after 1200rpms. it idles at 1000rpms.
The 09's use different motor mounts to cut down on idle vibes but people report that there is buzzing in the floorboards or grips at certain rpms. it also has a new frame.
I went with the 08 for 3 reasons. the heat "issues" aren't fixed with the new frame, I road a pre 09 96ci and feel that it handles very well and I got a fantastic price on the 08. a family member works at the dealership.
make no mistake, I didn't buy the h-d to buy an h-d....I will promise you that the sm and ba are a better bike then the dyna or sportster line. I prefer it over the softail line too but that's a different breed so it's hard to judge.
