Looking at pics of the newer EFI models you can see that the emission mandated oxygen sensors are in the header pipes right below the first bend so I'd agree with Ian on this one. The crossover would be a little more "stale" since it's not in the direct pipe flow, it mostly evens out the pressure between the two.
