Dwight, I play recreational competitive tennis... I had tennis elbow before... it happens because your racket's weight is too light, very common these days with the light materials they use in rackets now. The solution is a head heavy racket; when the ball hits the racket your arm will not absorb the energy and vibration as much. If you do not want to spend any cash on a new racket then go to a tennis shop and buy lead tape. You can add pieces of this tape to both sides of your racket's head and add some weight to it. You never know, it might help your elbow pain while riding as well. I did this to see if my tennis elbow was racket weight related... it was, I then bought a head heavy racket and the pain has not returned.
