This just in...

John McCain has selected Elaine Benes as his choice for VP. Senator McCain defended this surprise choice by saying, 'Ms. Benes brings over 20 years of expeience in television comedy to the mix, and I LOVED the way she danced on that one Seinfeld episode. I dance the same way!'

Politics out of the picture for a moment ~~ I love his real pick. Fisher-person, hunter, hockey-mom ~~ love it. I can see John McCain dancing just like Elaine...

ACK-tually, Gov. Palin resembles a cross between Julia-Louise and Dawn wells (Mary-Ann of Gilligan's Island). Not a bad combination at all. She also owns a float plane, eats moose-burgers, ice fishes, and enjoys snowmobiling. For a time, she also did commercial fishing with her husband - who works in the off season for BP (!!!!).

Her olsest son joined the army last year and is an infantry unit about to deploy to Iraq. I'm thinking that his mom being selected to run with McCain means the kid will not be doing any patrols at this point and will likely be a Fobbit/POG for his entire tour.

Oh and they sound pretty cool. She's a moose hunter,a pilot also.
And hey it gives me hope. I'm just as qualified. She runs a town about the same size as mine.

YEAH!!! Well, I can certainly understand that alright, Larry.

I hear Jill Biden was a pretty hot model herself back in the day, and she's still not too bad on the ol' eyes either, ya know.

(and besides....if Biden is supposedly "Obama's Brain", then isn't only fair that Obama be "Biden's LIPS"???!!!)

Perhaps one of McCain's staffers mentioned that he would need to make a hot pick for VP if he had any hope of winning, and he misunderstood...

Nah! I like your first theory here, JB!

McCain may be "old", but his eyesight still seems 20/20 to me, dude!!!

(though as Bill brought up, havin' her picture taken next to that Harley sure brings up the obvious question about her "decision-making capabilities", doesn't it?!)

Yeah???!!! Well aren't all these pics in this thread pics of her?!

Who'd ya think we we're talkin' about here anyway, Shaun???!!!

(though I can certainly understand your confusion in this matter, seeing as how the last women to achieve high office over there on that little island o' yours "wasn't exactly" a stunner in the looks department as this Gov.Palin is, huh dude???!!!)

Hey Shaun. Well I can say this about this 2008 presidential election no matter who wins it will be a first. Black President or Female vice President.

Mrs. Palin:

* point guard in high school for her state champion basketball team
* former beauty queen - came in second place at the Miss Alaska pageant in 1984.
* lifetime member of the NRA
* young (44) and vibrant Governor of Alaska
* mother of five; three daughters, two sons; eldest son just joined the U.S. Army
* youngest child, a boy, has Down Syndrome

Ummmmm...Ron. I DON'T think the guys that are about to show up on your doorstep are gonna be "lawyers".

Yep! Right again, Ian!!!

But that particular Secret Service Agent at Ron's doorstep would only be there for "comic effect".

THAT'S the guy you're gonna have to try to reach FIRST Ron, as the other guys there will lack a sense of humor, and will be the toughest nuts to crack in order to get 'em to see your side of this whole "misunderstanding"!

Good luck, Ron!!!

(BTW Ron..as I have the feelin' there'd be nobody among the attends the of Southwest Triumph Fest who would ever admit to knowin' ya if this little misunderstanding get's out o' hand, I would advise you to NOT even attempt to use ME or ANY of our fellow attendees as "character witnesses" on your behalf...waste o' time dude, waste o' time!!!)

Okay, just ONE MORE, and then I'm done (maybe).

Senator McCain's explained his choice of Alaska Governor Sarah 'The hottest hottie in the coldest state' Palin for VP nominee by saying, "As Vice President, Governor Palin will add another crack to the fifteen million others already in the glass ceiling."

While in the background, Cindy 'Bud Girl' McCain was overheard muttering, "I'd be jealous of her, but John isn't much interested in that sort of thing anymore at his age, anyway."
