Got the bike out today for a brief ride (first one o' the year) and noticed that the speedo cable is rubbing on the disc brake. Any suggestions on how to get it out of the way???
Thanks,
Roadie

Triumph - Yep, my stock bracket is history - I replaced it with the chrome one from NewSpeedmaster.com. It doesn't keep the speedo cable away from the rotor!! Arrgh!

I recall something on the old board (I think it was about this) that there were 2 speedo cables. One was entirely too long and would rub on the exhaust when the forks compressed leaving a nasty mark on the pipe. I zip-tied mine to the brake line in 2 places which pretty much keeps it out/off of things.

jj - thanks for the idea. I'll give the zip tie solution a try!

JJ you don't happen to know the difference in lengths do you? I'm getting a braided stainless speedo cable made, and I could easily get it shortened.... Mine totally rubs the left header pipe....
