Bonneville America Forums Forums Technical Forums Exhaust Khromeworks pipes out of P/N 202155 ...Help

Has anyone used any other part numbered mufflers that are on sale at Khromeworks? They just sold the last one with P/N 202155 late last week.

They have a few other 2 1/2 inch mufflers available, but I don't want to get something that doesn't fit? Or, can I just clamp on any old 2 1/2 inch muffler?

Well pretty much as long as they are made to fit an 1 3/4 header. Some may require more mounting fabrication than others though.

Im glad i bought an extra set when i did. They are nice. Im going to use them on my XS 650 bobber project.

Hey Coastal, I have a set of the 202152.. 2 1/2" TURNOUT SLIP-ON MUFFLERS, that are yours for the Postage if ya want'em....

They are the exhaust tip and below on the page you buy the muffler seperate...I think it is the 1-3/4" pipe

Did you look on their website again? 202152 i believe is the first set i bought. they are turnouts. I just modified the 202155's i bought over the summer, boy are they loud now. They have a different tone than anything ive heard before.

When you say you modified them what did you do? I just looked on their site and the 8 pairs of 202155 and 42 of the 202152...all for $20/pair....

I just ordered the 202152. They are out of the 155s, just haven't updated their website yet.

By the way. Will I have to modify the hangars much?

Just put my order in also.....JackW...what mod's do you have to do?...or will the clamp hold them on like the trumph muffler

The way i modified them was on the 155's if you look down in them, there is a metal flap that directs the exhaust through the baffle. I pried the flap open half way so i still get the back pressure but it is loud as heck. The only things that hold the pipe on is the muffler clamp itself. I ve had mine on for a year just about with no issues yet(knock on wood). In my poinion the 152's are nicer than the 155. 152's are about 4-5 inches longer and i like the turnouts. Good luck with them, in my opinion you cant go wrong for the $$$.

Clamp holds them on, cut off mounting tabs with a grinder. 2 beer job.

Any recommendation on some heavy duty clamps for this mod? Or are the stock clamps up to the job? Has anybody made or modified the hangers for these mufflers?

I am waiting to borrow a buddies grinder and plan to wrap the headers with black tape and paint the mufflers with some stove black paint.

I'm a little confused. The khromeworks website doesn't list either the 202152 or 202155 pipes. Also were you able to buy directly from them? It looks like you have to go through a distributor.

Stock clamps without hangers have been holding mine on with no problems.

Ok, so got the new Khromeworks pipes and of course get a bunch of backfiring on decel so believe that I must re-jet. What size jets do I change to and how hard is it?
