CNN had a segment about some 27 year old IDIOT on a crotch rocket (CNN referred to it as a 'Bullet Bike') who was riding at more than 100 MPH weaving in and out of rural traffic without a skidlid while being chased by police. The JERK finally lost control of the bike and slid under the front of an SUV with a family onboard. The SUV caught on fire, and the dash cam on the cruiser showed the mom and dad evacuating their toddlers from the SUV just before it exploded in flames. Remarkably, the STOOPID rider was found a short time later by police with only road rash about 1000 yards away from the scene. After giving a false name, the DOPE said that he was living out his video game fantasy and also said that 'Driving like that always works for me when I playing (the video game).' After almost killing a family through his being a MORON, I hope that they put this guy away for a long time. He's as STOOPID as the guy who was kite surfing in TS Fay and was picked up and blown into a building.

His "confession" of his stupid fantasy should land him a psyche ward. He really needs to be locked up for a long, long time. What a waste of oxygen!

Glad to see others have the same opinion on these self-centered scumbags that endanger us all with their stupid antics. I watch these chases on the news and wish the police would just put a bullet in one of these characters. They would only have to do it once or twice on tv and it would put a stop to it. Yea, I know, I'm not a sensitive guy.

i know a doofus like that (friend of a friend). he was running from police at high speeds, and one of the cops kids had a blazer with a police scanner, and decided to park his truck in this guys path. he laid it down, slid into the truck, bent the frame on it he hit it so hard, and was in traction for months. he ended up winning a huge lawsuit because the kid was interfering in police business. just goes to show that sometimes, being an idiot pays off huge. darn it.

He's probably hoping if he throws them a story like that, he WILL get off just wearing a white smoking jacket with arms that tie in the back... I agree with the others he is defective and should be euthanized. The problem we have nowadays is that there is no life guard at the gene pool.

I just posted about this in Other Bikes since I hadn't read this yet but I was asking what constitutes a "bullet bike". I thought it was some special kind of bike not just a crotch rocket. Never heard them called that before. If there have been no replies yet I'm off to delete that thread.

I feel we have become too soft on this death penalty subject. Its a waste of tax dollars to keep people worthless to society alive and in jail. I think getting the life in prison sentence is a joke. So now they get to watch cable tv, eat, and live completly free. Most of the time its better than they had it on the streets.

Your right about that. Though i may have fueled ny little boys imagination the other day. He is six and a couple of weeks ago he and i sat and watched The Great Escape together. I had to cover his eyes and avert his attention on a couple of scenes, but for the most part it child safe.
Well now, him and his friend from class are planning how they are going to dig a tunnel from their classroom to his bedroom. The plans are quite brilliant. Especially for a 6 year old.

as some one who coaches sport's i see this all the time a young kid's will come and joining the team .. and because the can play the game on xbox or any one of them ...and there good on it there... belive that they can come out and play that same sport on the field or the cort.. and be just as good at it and when the get run over and there laying on there back looking up going dang that hurt we don't play like that in the video game and i see it year after year...and what is sad about this this it's really not the kid's falt most parents use these video game as a way to babyset there own kid's when is what the really need to do is get out and spent time with them.. and teach them to become adult's.. and when you do i can tell you it's very rewarding ..

We're civilized in Texas now-"Old Sparky" is in a museum but we have an efficient needle system. This story p***ed me off more than anything I have heard in a long time. This guy was no kid-27 years old. He would visit the gray bar hotel if he had been in the county I live in and done something like this. The game manufacturers need to be held accountable for stuff like "Grand Theft Auto" some of the more outlandish games that could give people ideas.

Tunnel digging is pretty well self limiting and it's easier to separate reality from fantasy in a movie than it is on a video game. This guy was "doing" (in his mind) the same thing he had done on the video game. I wonder how 'real' he will think a jail experience is.

Absolutely not! This jackhole knew full well what he was doing. The manufacturer did not make him climb on his crotch rocket, they did not make him speed in excess of 100mph, ******, they didn't even make him buy the game to begin with. Bollocks. Thats lawyer talk for, dont blame the idiot who did it. Blame the person/game/movie that gave them the idea.
Whats next. Ban movies like Cannon Ball Run, in case it encourages peole to drive fast. No, this idiot rode at break neck speeds and tried to ovoid being arrested by the law and in so doing put himself, the police officers chasing him and innocent byestanders lives at risk. He made that choice, and he must stand up and take whats coming, and must not be allowed to hide behind some game, movie, comic book or any other reason that some defense lawyer can come up with.

Just goes to show you what the media's knowledge of motorcyclist is.
The 27 year old is lucky. He is of age in a touchy feely version of our society. The phrase, 'take him out behind the wood shed' is no longer in our vocabulary. Don't blame the 27 year old child for what he did or said, after all it is not his fault :tongue in cheek: he is living in this age of apathy.

Only if a jury is stupid enough to award it or a bureaucrat/politician is chicken enough to settle out of court. We all complain about that stuff but we are the ones who can change it. I served on a jury where some idiots were trying to get a huge payoff because they blew themselves up while playing with fireworks. We gave them nothing.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.

Well Jackson, I hope you realize that cartoons(especially those old W-B cartoons) do seem to have maybe had some adverse effects upon those who may have viewed too many of them in their formlative years.
Yep! In fact, just by readin' THIS thread I'd venture to say that there seems to be a whole lot o' Yosemite Sams runnin' around here at BA.com alone, Doc!

Aahh yes, the old Slippery Slope argument. Used to believe in it myself till I figured out that was the favored tactic of the ACLU and their ilk in trying to bring down this country. They have been very successful with it. I kinda liked the scene in the movie 'True Grit' where John Wayne shot the rat. Not suggesting vigilante justice, but let the properly trained, duly sworn police officer Serve and Protect a little more strenously when it comes to these self absorbed slimeballs who endanger us all and ruin all cyclist rep's with their antics. I will say no more. Have at it.

I know what you are saying Ed but I think rather than blaming the game companies it goes back to the parents teaching kids the difference between fantasy and reality and right from wrong. I believe if the kid (I use the term "kid" loosely) couldn't distinguish the game from reality it was either due to a mental illness or failure of parental guidance at an earlier age not the people who made the games. I enjoy video games but don't even have the thought that I can go do those things in real life, that would be ludicrous.

(and BTW...can you tell me how to get to Pismo Beach???...I seem to have made a wrong turn at Albuquerque!!!)
Its ok Dwight the thought police have fixed the problem, If you watch an old WB cartoon now on anyof the major networks, You'll notice all of the funny parts have been cut out.
The percentage you're paying is too high-priced
While you're living beyond all your means
And the man in the suit has just bought a new car
From the profit he's made on your dreams

A bullet is too easy for this miscreant. Let's tatoo an American Flag on his forhead then strap on a parachute and drop him naked into the Libian desert and let the ragheads aquaint him with reality.
07 Speedmstr, Long Tors, bags, sissy bar and rack, windshield, engine bars, 2 ww lights, 2 fast eddy stickers and a .45 ACP.
