Agreed on most points, especially the lack of a decent keeper. Sad news is James appears to be the best at the moment. Robinson and Carson's recent form has made the gaffers' decision a bit easier.

A few questions...

1) with the midfield setup, why the longball so often?
2) why is Lampard playing? i'm sure he's a nice guy, but imho he's vastly overrated.
3) why Gerrard in left? Cappello's statement about him playing behind the strikers might have been the idea (not a bad one) but it didn't look that way.
4) why is Heskey in the team (still)? wouldn't it work better to have Rooney/Defoe or Rooney by himself. no more Crouch?
5) i agree w/comments on Beckham, but he didn't look any worse than many others (not a Beckham fan, just my take on that performance. He is not the future.)
6) Downing up front?
7) how can people lobby for JT and Rio as captain w/the statement about that being the way to get the most out of them. seems to me the last person i'd want as a captain is the type of player that wouldn't give their all unless they had the armband.
8) after the completely disappointing WC06 and Euro08 qualifying and these friendlies, when do you see them putting it together?
9) what happened to Barry? never seen him play that poorly either.
