I recorded the England v Czech friendly internation yesterday and then watched it last night. New manger/coach, new stadium, new era we are told........ and Bugger me, same old same ol. Somethings never change.
1, It rained, 2, not a sell out for a England game, and 3....we were awful, again.
Jeez, what is it with England. We have argueably the most competitive league in the world and yet are national team flat out sucks. Those other hyped, over paid prima donnas need to take a look at all the British boys and girls in China who are giving their all to win for themsleves and for the nation. What does our football team do, run around like a bunch of **** wondering whos getting the first round after the match. Makes my blood boil.
Incedently. You guys over in the old country. How come they didnt close the roof for the game. Or is it only the stadium in Cardiff that has a moveable roof?
Scotland v Northern Ireland game for me. 0 - 0 and a good workout for both teams with Sir David Healy missing a penalty I think both will do well in their world cup groups
As for England - same team as previous manager same shocking display by all accounts. Time to move on from Becham (and David James) and get the winning mentality with England (as team GB have shown). I believe the spirit is there with Northern Ireland (in particular - given their relative size)and Scotland but England don't have it. Yet there is no question they have some of the best players in the world (Bekham and James excluded). Spain used to be the non-achievers of the football world - at the moment it is England.
Will they qualify for the world cup? I think so but they need a good kick up the butt! I think Scotland will scrape through with Northern Ireland probably missing out (but only just and I hope I am wrong) and Wales - no chance (sorry folks)!
I blame the number of foreign players in the top teams - how many English players are there in the Arsenal team? Is it 1?
By the sounds of it they didn't deserve the roof - let it rain on them!
