still thinking....

Oh well, guess I'll keep it if it's that good

I can think of one thing you need to do to it. Make it turn over 31000 as quick as you can. I herd that if you don't keep the speedometer moving it will lock up on you.

I didn't ride my Speedy for a couple of months. She was so mad at me the speedo disconnected at 70mph on the freeway...<BG>

Well, there ya go! You just reminded me that I had to replace the speedo cable a couple of years back. And here I was thinking I had a reliable motorcycle!
That also means there is over 31,000 miles on it, coz we just kept riding it while it was broken.

Now if Fay will just move on out of my area, I'll gladly put some more miles on to get back home. If you've ever had to stay a week with your 83 year old folks, you'll know I REALLY REALLY want to go home, bless their hearts!

On the upside, my son and I were working on repairing our fish pond, so I had ordered 100 sandbags to use. We were out in the drive filling them 2 weeks ago, and neighbors were asking me what we were doing. I told them "Big flood coming, just getting ready!" Little did I know how prophetic I would be! They have already loaned out quite a few to neighbors and friends that were flooded to their doorway and getting wakes from trucks going thru the high water. Satellite Beach has had continuous rain in the past 3-4 days. It's well over a foot and closer to two total!!! I think they said something about animals 2 by 2....

later, Tom.

I hate fay. No problems other than cabin fever. Drove to Cocoa Beach. No major flooding here. Although the beach has lost about 25% of itself. Big gullies. Indian River is over the southern walls at the bridges due to the wind direction and yeah the feet of rain. Sykes Creek is to the banks at the 528 bridge. All the ditches have water in them. Lots of palm fronds, very minor branches. 20 miles south has to be a much different story as yesterday, Wednesday, since 3AM we were in the eye of Fay. No winds little rains. Such wasn't the case for areas south of the Pineda CSWY according to the talking heads. Then when Fay moved North a bit last night at 9PM we started to get a very strong Westerly wind and associated non stop rain.

I hate fay.
