Any of you out there have significant miles on the QPD belt system yet? I've got barely 4,000 miles on mine so far, just curious about how it's holding up over the long haul.

Gday Shakie
Apart from maintenance on the chain, what are the key benefits of going across to a belt drive and is it that noticable ?

I have about 5000 miles on mine. I love it. I don't notice much in the performance but there's no more chain noise and no more maintenance. One of the best mods I've made. A little pricey though.

7k miles and going strong. Not adjusted it since before I went to Georgia back in May either, still dead on.
Great mod, pricey? yes but I think it's worth it.

A word to the wise is not necessary. It is the stupid ones who need the advice. Pat

Nico,

The bike shifts smoother, run smoother at low engine speeds (5-10mph), is cleaner and requires far less maintenance than a chain. I'm really pleased with the mod even though I haven't got a ton of miles on it yet. It looks good as well. It's the way the bike should come from the factory.

Thanks for the info Shakey, sounds interesting and I think I will be doing some more research into this mod...
Find out if there are any suppliers in Aussie, I doubt it though still trying to find an importer for the Corbin seats..

Nico,

You'd probably have to buy it from Brent, or direct from QPD. I'm pretty sure they don't have any foreign distribution. Try e-mailing them for further information. You can get an e-mail link right off of their websites and Ozzie is pretty good at getting back to you as is Brent. It may be a bit expensive, but it's the best money I've put into my bike to date.

Ride safe and often.
