Booked my ticket for the NEC UK bike show (Thursday 4th Dec). Hope its there. Looking at that the exhausts dont seem to sweep up as high as previous pictures, plenty of clearance for luggage.

Looks better in the video than in the still shots we have seen. Look forward to seeing it in the flesh so to speak. Now, if only it was came in Red

The light bar is way too wide, but she looks good none the less...

The shiny bits make it look a little better but still don't like it.

Wasn't too excited when I saw the first pics, but I have to say I have changed my mind. Looking forward to try it out on the road.

I think it would look better and stand out more with a traditional triumph tank design. I need to see in person though.

I make my own parts cause I cant afford to buy theirs.

I think once this bike hits the show-rooms alot of people will be changing their tunes about this bike. Just from the video I can tell that two up riding is gonna be alot more comfortable & who can pass up more power. When that time comes I'll be right here saying "I told you so".

After watching Piper's youtube video for the tenth time today, I've decided that I really, really want one. I had big plans for my 04 TBA this winter (powder coating, new handle bars, hard bags etc.) I might have to put all that on hold until I see how much the Thunderbird is gonna cost. Does anybody have a good guess as to how much it's gonna cost?

Same here, I'm surprised. Guess I'll have to wait for a test ride for final judgement. Although still waiting for a test ride on the Rocket Touring...(no dealer seems to have a tester) Quote:

I'm very excited to get mine and I've been watching the video almost daily.
I do have a few complaints based on what I can see but who knows how it will turn out in the final design. The auxillary lights are way too wide and sit higher than the headlight which is ugly, the brake pedal looks like a tiny little shifter pedal, the sissy bar (IMO) has a funky curvy look that isn't very attractive, and the dinky little Triumph sticker on the tank is a waste. We'll have to see how it looks when it hits the show rooms, I have a lot of faith (and a deposit down) so my fingers are crossed that it ends up being the perfect bike.
2007 America, Phantom Black/Sunset Red
Deposit down on 2010 Thunderbird - can't wait for it!

OK I think I got confused, When I was at Hermys he had an R3T I could test ride not a T-bird 1600.

After seeing the video, I'll have to reconsider my first impression. Can't wait to see it in person.
Didn't buy into the hype, you can keep the change.
