I've had a intermitent oil leak from my sump area for the last year. I would find an occasional drop of oil on my garage floor, but it never really bothered me. I traced it to a hex-drive bolt located behind the starter. I believe it is an inner-chain tension adjuster, so I didn't want to tighten it up. Then the other day I came across this Permatex spray product ( see link below) at my local Napa. I bought it for $8, and followed the directions. It's for sealing off low-pressure leaks, and is very high-temp resistant. It comes with an applicator tube, and an extra wide-spray nozzle. It is clear in color, and after drying it is invisible. And it WORKS !! It gets into all nooks and crannies, etc. and seals beauifully...not even a hint of a drop oil. Just make sure your engie area is clean of grease, I used some Spray-9, then rinsed well.
