I was wondering if anyone has had any luck finding 130/70-18 in a wide White Wall?

As far as I know there is now only one www tire for our bikes, and it's a Dunlop K177 120/90-18. Don't quote me on that but I think this may be true.

I need to do the same or raise it up some. I am thinking raise it, I liked the look when i had it real close but if gravel or something tore through there it sounded like the fender and tyre was being tore to shreds. Has any one had luck manufacturing risers for the front fender?

3/4 of the way down this thread ==> The Vault - How Tos. Keith has a very nice solution. I took a slightly less elegant route. 4 approximately 1.5 inch by 1/2 inch lengths of aluminum drilled with 2 holes and painted flat black to raise mine. I have the Dunlop K177 120/90-18 wide white wall.

I managed to fit a 130/90 with a combo of Keith s extenders and some hillbilly surgery. [image][/image]

I'm a bit confused here. It seems to me that those of you who are using a 130/70-18, are putting a smaller diameter tire on your bike. No? As far as I know, the stock size is 110/90-18 on pre-2011 Americans. So the diameters are as follows:

110/90-18 is 65.5cm
130/70-18 is 63.9cm

Am I missing something here? Some of you have mentioned that the stock front tire size is 100/90-18, but I have not seen this in anything that I've read, nor is it the case on my bike.

I'm thinking 130/80-18 (66.5) will give a bit fatter look without too much profile height as does 120/90-18 with the rubbing issues.

Different tire manufacturers as to the same numbers, equal different actual physical dimensions. Measure Circumferences with a flat tape meas. and you will find this out for yourself.

No mods needed? It looks like you did quite a bit of cutting to that front mudguard. But maybe you just did that for other reasons, just curious.

I like the tire tread! What brand is it? How well does it handle when the roads are wet?

Last I looked, Fast Eddy sells those tires, he sold me one a couple of years ago.
