Since my other thread was getting hijacked I figured Id post this as a seperate thread
Anyway...kit in question is this one:http://www.electricalconnection.com/other-lighting/tsk-star&sport.htm

I have it...easy to install and works great.
Heres how it works:
The kit provides a ring of LEDs (that shine red) that fits around your oem bulb under the amber lens.
Your oem lights work the same as always...off when not turning, on when turning under the amber lens.
When not turning the red LEDs light up under the amber lens and turn it red. Not perfectly red but red.
When braking the red LEDs intensify and shine through red along with your tail light.
When braking into a turn the turn signal is amber, leds are bypassed but your tail light and other running light are still red.

Its simply red leds that are strong enough to turn an amber lens red when they light up.

Non-evasive, cheap and adds increased visibility to the back of the bike.

Here are some pics of my bike with these in use.

Ordered mine yesterday. Do you have any install tips?

no tips...its pretty straight forward. Ive gotten into the habbit of testing first so before you make your final connections permanent id say test operation first.

I've had mine on for about 4 years. I wouldn't ride without this additional rear light presence.

Install tips:
I soldered/shrink wrapped most of my connections but seem to remember the two wires going to the light itself were very short, so I just used a crimp-on connector. Haven't had any issues to date. It is a tight fit back behind the license plate but it will fit. Maybe took an hour to install?

Is it compatible with the Kisan ? I'm assuming all the install activity is confined to the turn signal pod ?

I have the running light option turned on .

Those aggravating yellow tail lights .

I installed the signalminder on my bike mainly just to get additional running lights, and while I am very happy with the results I think if I had known about the kit you installed before I bought the signalminder I would have opted for yours. It looks simpler and sells for half the cost.

Wade, the wiring takes place behind the license plate and the LEDs are on a ring shaped circuit board with a rubber grommet that fits around the lamp in the light housing. It's a very clever design, took me less than hour to get it installed and running. Hardest part is fishing the wires through the stalk to the lamps.

+1 on the good things said about this kit. The LED lenses are a bit week in the bright sun, but otherwise they work well. Only thing that I can add is that I used the crimp connectors on the pigtail wires that are below the bayonet socket in the tail light - this helps keep them out of the weather. Also I use a modulating tail light available from Brent. Tail blazer link.

I'm happy with how the two items work.
