Sideways plates are illegal in CT also. My nephew built a chopper couple years ago. He put a sideways plate on the left side of his rear tire. Took the bike to be inspected,
(had to be inspected because he was regesitering it as a home made composite). Inspecter told him he either had to
straighten it out and center it. Or mount another one on the other side.As far as I know he still dont have it registered legal,He just take the plate off his roadking when he wants to take the chopper bar hoppin....kids.
