Harley big twins are EPA rated at 53 MPG highway and Sportsters at 57 MPG. So, their 50 MPG claim is reasonable. My diesel truck is large and heavy and has 4WD, so it gets around 16 - 17 MPG according to the monitor display. When the weather is decent, I ride 18 miles to work and back 5 days a week and put on another 200 - 300 on weekend rides and some more running errends. Seems to me their claims are possible if a little optimistic.

For many years I rode rain or shine, even in snow a few times. I no longer have to so I don't, not on the HD or the Triumph.
