WHY IS IT THAT MY COMPUTER WILL NEVER OPEN THE PICTURES THAT PEOPLE POST ON THIS WEBSITE? I ALWAYS GET A BOX WITH A RED X IN IT. PLEASE HELP!

I think that pictures are automaticly hidden from people that type in all caps.  Soren

The only time I have trouble seeing images is at work. Our corporate firewall blocks sites like Photobucket and Picasa.

Check your security settings in Explorer they may be set too high and treat the linked pics as pop-up stuff.
SINCE MR. WINSLOW WAS SO MUCH HELP, I FIGURED I WOULD TRY.
Joe, all caps to intolerant geeks is like shouting. Turn off the all caps so Soren doesn't have a shallow minded vapor lock of some sort.

Do a google search, you will find a wealth of info out there. Sounds like you have a security setting off.

might want to turn off the windows built in firewall and see if that helps.

Open Internet Exploiter and click on Tools => Internet Options. When the Internet Options window opens, click on the advanced tab. In the advanced options window scroll down to the multimedia section. Make sure that show pictures is checked and not image download placeholders.
Close IE and re-open and try it out. If it still fails, try finding an image file (.jpg) on your own computer's hard drive. Locate the picture file and using the "other" mouse button (normally we refer to this as a right-click but you may be a lefty which throws everything off..)Click on the picture file with the less used mouse button and from the pop up menu choose Open With => Choose Program and when the program list window opens scroll down and look for IE. Select IE from the list and click OK. It should open IE and display the picture unless you have other issues on your computer.
