The Georgians went into a break way province to bring them back under central government control and the Russians invade saying the Georgians were out of line. I guess the Russians think everyone has forgotten what they did in Chechnya. The Russians have been fomenting the problems there so I guess it’s not a surprise. As I recall from my history, some mustached fellow did something similar in the Sudetenland in October 1938. There are also reports that the Russians started a cyber attack on the Georgian government a week or two ago. Personally I wouldn't be surprised to see the Georgians and Ukrainians getting lots of top of the line anti-aircraft and anti-tank stuff real soon.
We all like to think of ourselves as rugged individualists. But when push comes to shove most of us are sheep who do what we are told. Worst of all, a lot of us become unpaid agents of whoever is controlling the agenda by enforcing the current dogma on the few rugged individualists who actually exist.
